AIM Background

What is AIM?

AIM is a 2D Base-Shooter for 2 Players, my friends and I made in the 2nd Semester of our studies. The initial concept was about a game which is easy to learn but hard to master and it should get 2 people wanting to play together on a tablet or smartphone device. The best way to describe AIM as simple as possible is as a sort of Trick-Shot Battle Billiard with obstacles. Each Player owns a base located on opposite sides. These bases are protected by three shields, any of which can withstand two shots. Each player has one shot per turn and needs to bring down at least one shield to destroy the opponents base, however there is never a direct shot for the space between the bases is blocked by obstacles that need to be avoided. To maneuver ones shot through these obstacles the player may use five tools, each manipulating the projectile in a different way. The player who destroys the opponents base first wins the game.
